At Questex, we have taken a pledge to improve our environmental and social impact by developing a corporate policy that aims to maximize the good in what we do whilst we reduce our environmental footprint. As each event, venue and destination are unique; we work with our partners, sponsors, vendors and delegates to craft a sustainability commitment to match local needs and opportunities. We welcome your ideas on how we can continue to improve.

MR&H sustainability commitments

Our sustainability commitments include:

  • Promoting debate around sustainability issues and how to address them in the conference programme
  • Offering a Sustainability Hub where delegates can share their sustainability commitments and pledges to inspire their colleagues using the #SustainableMRH tag
  • Working with the Hilton Athens to implement their environmental commitments at the event
  • Minimising the amount of waste generated by the event by aiming to reduce, reuse and recycle materials where possible
  • Reducing the need for print collateral by encouraging use of The MR&H App amongst delegates and using digital communications wherever possible
  • Using recycled and recyclable materials as much as possible, such as for the printed programme and marketing materials
  • Providing recycling points at the venue
  • Avoiding single-use plastic throughout the event, using non-disposable crockery and cutlery for all catering, and avoiding the use of plastic bottled water in favour of glass and paper cups
  • Encouraging delegates to bring and use their own re-usable water bottles and hot drink cups
  • Promoting the use of seasonal food and responsible sourcing of ingredients as well as offering plant-based dietary options
  • Working with the hotel to ensure food is not wasted by implementing proper planning and preparation
  • Encouraging delegates to share transport by offering complimentary airport transfers for delegates staying at the conference venue
  • Encouraging sponsors and suppliers to reduce the use of printed materials and single-use plastic, to use recycled materials where possible, and to reduce waste
  • Supporting WaterAid, an international NGO promoting access to clean water around the world
